In order to lighten the demand for custom artwork, I’m switching the custom alert/icon reward to a self-upload system.
Please redeem the “Upload Custom Alert/Icon” reward in the stream’s loyalty extension for the four customizations (woo, headbang, superheadbang, greeting). Then submit your art through this form link.
Alternatively, if you’ve won a free custom upload, just email or DM me your asset via Discord.
To avoid design edits or rejections, please follow these guidelines:
Design Guidelines
- Design should fit the general style of Gildedguy’s stream, which can be described as whimsical, colorful, and cartoony.
- The best way to check if your design is appropriate is to compare it to the examples.
If it differs in a significant way (too realistic, NSFW, low-quality), then I may ask you to redo it, or make edits myself. - Icon designs should read well at small sizes, so use thick dark lines and high contrast to make sure your icon pops. Keep it as simple as possible.
- Small Icon designs may contain short (1-5 frame) animation, if you provide the assets + direction on how they should play.
- Big avatar animations (greeting/superheadbangs) can be longer (6-10 seconds), as long as they follow the transparent background guidelines below!
Technical Guidelines
- Design should avoid pink colors that are close to MAGENTA (0xFF00FF), since it’ll be absorbed by my overlay’s chroma-key.
- The dimensions of Alert Designs (superheadbangs, greetings) should fit within the 1060 x 1240 rectangle comfortably:
- Design should be submitted as a high-quality transparent PNG or Adobe Flash/Animate FLA (source file).
- You may provide the link to your design in your custom redemption, or directly message me the asset.
Custom Woo Icon
- Design should resemble a rose or flower, with a clear stem and flower bud/petals.
Custom Headbang Icon
- Design should resemble an eighth note or any musical symbol.
Custom Super-Headbang Alert
- Design should feature a character in an rockin’ or approving pose of some sort.
Custom Greeting Alert
- Design should feature a character in a greeting or welcoming pose of some sort. Or it can just be a neutral stance.
If you cannot draw assets yourself, try commissioning an artist for help! Send them this guidelines page with a sketch or description of your design.
