About: Designed as a vertical slice for an example level. Instead of trying to prototype the game feature by feature, I wanted to see what the final product would look like. I intended for the project to be heavily art-focused, meaning that the levels could be designed and drawn within the Flash IDE itself:
Collision / hit testing uses rectangular sprites and an arbitrarily drawn terrain.
Lighting is done with an additive “Highlight” layer and a multiplicative “Shadow” layer
